CEO Gerard Bremault and Sgt. Lyndsay O’Ruairc were honoured last night at the inaugural Serving with Distinction Awards, held by the Surrey Cares Community Foundation at a ceremony at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford hotel.

The Serving with Distinction Awards were established to publicly recognize local non-profits and charities in Surrey.  Over 20 individuals and groups were nominated in six categories and the winners received a blown-glass award.

“It was a pleasure to take part in the very first Serving with Distinction Awards ceremony, and an honour to be nominated alongside so many excellent organizations in Surrey,” said Bremault, who received the Leadership award.  Sgt. O’Ruairc was nominated for her work with the Sophie’s Place team.
