Envision Financial has joined G&F Financial Group and the Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society to help with repairs to our playground following damage this summer.

We are so grateful for Envision’s gift of $1,000 that will help cover our playground repair costs.

Since 1953, The Centre for Child Development has been providing comprehensive medical rehabilitative programs and services to children with special needs, serving over 3,000 kids last year. In 2012 The Centre for Child Development expanded its services to include Sophie’s Place.  Sophie’s Place is a child and youth advocacy centre where children who have been abused physically and/or sexually can receive supportive services in a child-friendly environment from a specialized multi-disciplinary team.

Last year, we opened our inclusive, fully-accessible playground that doubles as a therapeutic assessment area.  Therapists are able to observe children’s movements and provide therapeutic care while children play in a colourful, interactive, and safe setting. Our playground includes many features that fully engage children’s senses and enable kids of all mobility levels to participate: swings that are wheelchair accessible, ramps, and a range of visual and textured surfaces.
