Recreation Therapy

Recreation services are designed to help children develop and integrate gross motor skills, independence and communication skills through a number of different programs

We help with a range of abilities from coordination challenges and gross motor delays to cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscle disease or orthopedic conditions.

Our unique therapeutic pool is equipped to enable easy access for all ability levels. Our pool’s warmer water makes therapy easier, relaxing muscles while helping build muscle strength and improve balance. The smaller pool is also quieter and more accessible than community pools for those with sensory sensitivities.

Our team provides consultations, recommending equipment/activities to achieve therapeutic goals. We also offer a modified swim program and groups in conjunction with other therapies (Communication Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy).

We work with local school districts to offer fully-accessible school swim programs, and offer drop-in groups for families and adults with disabilities.
