We were pleased to welcome The Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Sport & Persons with Disabilities to announce funding for accessibility projects under the Enabling Accessibility Fund on January 17.
The Centre for Child Development received funding to complete a child-friendly waiting room and playroom, an accessible first aid room and a communication therapy office.
After the conference, Minister Qualtrough spent some time learning about the therapies we provide at The Centre and engaging with several Centre families who were participating in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy sessions.
4 year old Evelyn was being fitted for a corrective splint in our Casting & Splinting Department. Corrective splints are used to increase functionality and comfort in a number of situations.
We had a fun time showing her all the things we do here at The Centre For Child Development and we thank her for spending time with us!
